Marty Kokuma For the last ten years Marty has worked in a wide range of assignments within human resources for Exxon USA, Praxair Industrial Gases, and the Pennzoil-Quaker State Company. He has developed and lead HR, training, and quality initiatives for client organizations in production, manufacturing, sales, engineering, R&D, customer service, and supply chain management. In a corporate recruiting capacity, Marty helped to improve the overall caliber of professional hires into the Information Systems, HR, and Accounting/Finance functions by re-engineering the selection system. Certified in both DDI's Targeted Selection and Lominger's Recruiting Architect tools, he has trained hundreds of line managers to interview and select the best job candidates for exempt, non-exempt, and hourly positions. Marty has led a number of client groups through organizational restructurings, management transitions, and succession planning cycles. He has also developed and led supervisor training courses, and led transition teams during company mergers. As a quality specialist, Marty facilitated process change programs for offshore and inland oil drilling operations In 2000, Marty was certified as a leadership coach and immediately began serving as personal coach for several frontline and mid-level managers, helping them to improve their performance in their current roles and develop plans to help them reach their longer-term career goals. Marty earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition, Marty holds a number of certifications, including the Lominger Leadership Architect Suite, DDI, Myers-Briggs, and Tennessee Associates' Team and Meeting Facilitator. In his spare time, Marty enjoys reading, traveling, and participating
in Christian ministry work.
